WILLIE E. HINES, JR.

Elder Willie Earl Hines, Jr., a native of Inman, SC, currently lives in Boiling Springs, SC. He was born to the late Mr. Willie E. Hines Sr. and Ms. Edith Ann Dantzler Hines. He was raised by a God-fearing and praying grandmother, the late, Ms. Julia E. Hines, who reared him in the church at an early age. He was baptized in Jesus Name on August 31, 1986, at the young age of ten years old by his former Pastor, District Elder Walter Choice. While a member at Greater St. James Temple, he later received the infilling of the Holy Ghost on September 17, 1991, according to Acts 2:38, at the age of fifteen. In which, it was evident from this experience that the Lord had a hand on his life.

Elder Willie Hines went on to further his education after graduating from Chapman High School in 1994. He graduated from Montreat College with an Associate’s of Science degree in General Studies in December of 2022. He is currently expected to graduate in the fall of 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Along with these endeavors, he has worked for over 25 years in the telecommunications industry. He has served as a Sales Director for Charter Spectrum Residential Inbound Department, reporting directly to the Vice President.

Elder Hines acknowledged his call into the ministry and preached his initial sermon on June 11, 2006. During this time, he has served under the leadership of his Pastor, Suff. Bishop, Dr. Lawyer & First Lady Sandra B. Watson since 2002 (21 years) in the following capacities at Life With Jesus Ministries: 

Life With Jesus Trustee Board Member, Associate Minister, Intercessory Prayer Leader to name a few. Elder Hines has also served in many capacities on the Local, State, and National Levels. 

National Level: Region 1 IPYPU Director for three years for East Coast States of Washington, DC, Delaware, Maryland, NC, SC, East TN, and WVA Councils. IPYPU Asst. Treasurer for three years, IPYPU Corporate Sponsorship & Vending Director, Treasury Assistant, since 2015, for the parent body, the Pentecostal Assemblies of World through July of 2023. He served as Asst. Treasurer for the International Single’s People Alliance since 2016 to August of 2020. He now serves as the current treasurer for this department from 2020 to present. He is a member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., Intercessory Prayer team. He is a member of the Apostolic General’s International Prayer Alliance all under the leadership of Dr. Ann Marie Mcqueen. In July of 2023, he was approved to serve by his Diocesan Bishop, the Honorable Bishop, Charles H. Ellis, III. to the office of The Department of Protocol and Adjutancy of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. In which, he holds the title of Deputy Adjutant leading the South Coast regions. He serves as an official member of the core adjutancy team. Elder Hines is a 2019 Alumni graduate of the Transformational Leadership Academy. All positions appointed or elected by the governing body of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.

On April 1, 2020, during the peak of the pandemic, Elder Hines was called to lead the nation in prayer through the inception of the 31 days of prayer call. A clarion call by God to bring his people together across denominational lines and diverse ethnicities. The charge was very clear to fortify the people of God. This included uniting many Presiding Prelates and their various organizations from around the world to take part. This call has been electrifying throughout the country as it has had thousands to join; and still operating to this day. Hence, the birth of the Intercessor’s on Purpose conference which launched in September of 2023.

In October of 2021, he became a new author of the newly released book from “Trauma to Triumph.” Now, available on Amazon.com or on his direct website at williehinesjr.com. A book of high anticipation throughout the country that is a must read; a book that will transform and change your life to experience the power of triumph; to bring healing to trauma, despair, and defeat. A book that will encourage, impact, and inspire all that read.

State Level: He has served as the President of the South Carolina State Council Young People's Union from 2008 – 2014. Before his role as SC State Council Youth President from 2006 to 2008, Elder Hines served as Vice-President and worked closely with previous administrations in many other functions and capacities. He currently serves as the State President for the Singles Department of the South Carolina State Council since June of 2015 under the auspices of his Diocesan Bishop, The Honorable Bishop Charles H. Ellis, III. of Detroit, Michigan.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT / MINISTRY LEVEL: As an involved community resident of Spartanburg County, Elder Hines currently has made history as the first African American to hold the title of City Chaplain for the Inman City community. In addition, he is an appointed city spokesperson on behalf of the Honorable Mayor Cornelius D. Huff of Inman, SC. He is a 2019 Alumni of the Spartanburg Grassroots Leadership Development Institute. A special initiative of the Spartanburg County Foundation. He is a licensed notary for the State of South Carolina since 2007 to present. He has been a key ministry leader on divine ministry assignments for the following church affiliations for a number of years; Mountain View Holiness Church, Greenville, SC; Bishop Mary Jackson, Senior Pastor. ReChurch Christian Fellowship, Charlotte, NC; Dr. Terrance A. Bridges, Senior Pastor. Mt. Sinai Apostolic Church, Thomasville, GA; District Elder, Ricky R. Monroe, Senior Pastor.

Among his many accolades and accomplishments, Elder Hines has traveled extensively in ministry assignments at home and abroad. A well sought out minister of the Gospel. The most important to him is his love for God, family, and people. He has a heart for people. Elder Hines is blessed to have three awesome and loving children. Of which, he is humbly thankful to God to be known as their father. Kenisha Angelica, Jasmine Alisha, and Elijah Timothy Hines. He is also affectionately known as "Poppy" to Jayden, Trinity, and Autumn Sims. These are his three grandchildren. Elder Hines currently appreciates this unique time that God has afforded him the privilege to serve God and his people.
